OBSERVATION

Surface of unit slopes north to south, northern limit is more compact and contains more gray rocky
inclusions. Very compact gray brown soil. Charcoal was more frequent at the top of the SU and more
concentrated in the south west area on the layer. Size of ceramics increased as the excavation
continued, as well as large pieces of plaster. Some plaster from the cistern fell into the layer and there
was a thin layer of soil between layers of plaster constructing the cistern. more, large rocky inclusions in
the lower section of the SU.
